Department and unit policies on this page are related to internal governance, merit raises, professional responsibilities, and review and promotion. Any changes to unit policies must be approved by the Office of the Provost using the posted review process. Approved policies will be uploaded with the most recent policy listed first.  New policies as of 2023 will be formatted for accessibility. Please contact OtP@uoregon.edu with any policy questions.

POLICY UPDATE! 

The Office of the Provost expects to return approved policies by the following dates: 

  • Career Faculty policies during the week of October 12 
  • TTF policies during the week of October 19

When the approved policies are ready, an email will be sent to department heads and deans. We appreciate your patience as we complete this significant undertaking. Over the summer, our team worked through over 150 detailed and complex unit policies and rubrics to ensure consistency with university policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

REMINDER 

United Academics notification of internal unit policies - Per Article 6, Section 3 of the CBA, the University will notify United Academics within 10 days of the adoption of any newly created or revised policies, whether at the university, college, or school level, that affect employment relations. If your unit makes changes to or implements a new policy that affects employment relations, please email otp@uoregon.edu a copy of the policy, effective date, and link to where the policy is published and accessible to faculty. The OtP will notify United Academics of the action.
