Appointments for faculty and officers of administration are initiated at the unit level at the time of hire with support from the Office of the Provost (OtP).

Offer letters and appointments for tenure-track and instructional non-tenure-track faculty members are approved by OtP. Offer letters for research non-tenure-track faculty members are approved by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation.
