The academy is a key driver of UO’s teaching culture, advancing a vision of education that’s inclusive, engaged, and research-led. Learn more about purpose, members, and upcoming meetings.
UO is investing in a new system for students to track their degree progress, a major initiative for supporting student success. This ongoing project will modernize the UO degree audit system and eventually replace the UO Degree Guide program.

Reports

The roundtable event held on May 23 was well-attended and full of fruitful discussions that aimed to demystify faculty retention in higher ed and at UO. Explore the event report and access links to the slides, the results of table discussions, and more.
The National Association of Academic Advisors and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) conducted the review assessing the academic advising, tutoring and specialized learning support the UO offers to student athletes.
The HSI Task Force’s final report on how the University of Oregon is becoming a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The Task Force worked for a year exploring what assets UO has and what challenges it may face in accelerating the process of becoming a HSI.

Policy and Procedure

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation is seeking nominations for individuals or research teams for the UO Sustainability Awards. Award recipients will receive $500 in research funds ($1000 will be provided to a team).
This is a reminder about important teaching policies for winter term and a course resource that includes a Syllabus 'Starter' and Canvas course templates.
This is an end-of-term reminder about key academic policies regarding dead week, final exams, reporting student progress, student absences related to university-sponsored events and accommodations.
