Faculty and Unit Head Programs

The Office of the Provost offers programs, workshops, and trainings for faculty and unit heads, with special attention to moments of transition. The programs range from stand-alone workshops to multi-day institutes and year-long monthly cohort-based programs. Most programs are supplemented with asynchronous Community Canvas site materials to provide on-demand access to learning and materials. The programs offered undergo their own continuous improvement process, constantly soliciting feedback from participants that leads to immediate and long-term changes. We are committed to rich, engaging programing that ensures our faculty feel supported by the University, find their community, and are able to continually grow across their career as teachers, mentors, scholars and leaders.

Academic Impressions

Academic Impressions is a professional development company that was established almost 20 years ago. It offers on-demand content and real-time events designed for higher education audiences across campus. Users will:

  • Create a uniformity across campus in the way tools are used

Peer Review of Teaching
 

2:30 to 4 p.m. in the EMU Crater Lake South

Practice observing and communicating about professional, inclusive, engaged, and research-informed teaching, share strategies, look at examples of constructive feedback, and get oriented toward TEP’s observation form. Peer review of teaching committees are welcome to attend together and have specially facilitated table talk.
