WATCH an Overview Video on Sponsored Project Activity.
Sponsored project activity data sources:
- OVPRI
- Dimensions database
- Research identifiers shared from UO Libraries
Download the guidance document on sponsored project activity types in Elements in word document format. This guidance was informed by the Elements Academic Advisory group, OVPRI databases, academic leadership, out-of-the box types in the system, and UO faculty CVs.
Cancelled grants in the OVPRI system will typically still appear in your profile. You can add additional contextual information when you go up for a major review.

WATCH a video on Reviewing Your Sponsored Project Activities.
On your Homepage, you may see a prompt to claim your Sponsored Projects.
If you already have claimed sponsored projects, you may wish to check and verify that they have been correctly attributed to you. (Elements pulls in records from external as well as internal sources; this may result in duplicate records).
In the “Pending” section, you will see sponsored projects that the system has associated with your name or other identifiers. You should review these activities and either claim or reject them.
You may also see some suggested research identifiers (e.g. Dimensions Researcher ID) at the top of the page. Claiming or rejecting these identifiers can help you with auto claiming or rejecting scholarly and sponsored project activities (see Automatic Claiming of Sponsored Projects for more information).
WATCH a general video on Editing Your Sponsored Project Activity.
Once you have claimed/rejected all pending sponsored project activities in your profile, you may need to edit your sponsored project activity. Review our brief video on how to edit sponsored project activity information including the type, entry content, and linking funding sources with scholarly activity.
Labels, descriptions, abstracts, keywords, and notes can be used to clarify each activity.
