Please remind your search committees about the Oregon Veteran's Preference. To comply with state law, there are steps that need to be taken at an early stage of applicant pool consideration, and well before inviting candidates to campus.

1. Enlist help from HR in identifying US veterans in your applicant pool.
2. All US veterans receive a point boost in whichever rating system is being used for the search.
3. All US veterans in the applicant pool must receive an invitation for a first-round interview.
