CIM Workflow Chart

  1. Course proposer
    • Proposer/initiator submits into workflow.
       
  2. Initial Departmental Review
    1. The department reviewer can approve or roll back for editing.
       
  3. Final Departmental Review
    • The proposal is reviewed again at department level
       
  4. School/College Committee
    • The school/college curriculum committee reviews proposal.
    • The proposal is approved or rolled back for editing.
    • If edits are required, it’s the responsibility of the initiator to ensure the edits are complete and submitted back into workflow.
       
  5. UOCC Review
    • The UO Committee on Courses does full review.
    • The course is approved and put on the term’s curriculum report or is sent back to original proposer for editing. If edits are required, it’s the responsibility of the initiator to ensure the edits are complete and submitted back into workflow. Please reach out to the reviewer for questions or comments.
       
  6. Curriculum Report- Senate Approval
    • All approved courses appear on the term’s report. The senate votes on all UOCC approved courses.
       
  7. Registrar
    • The registrar builds the course and adds it to Banner.
