As a member of the Big Ten, University of Oregon now has access to the longstanding collaborative leadership programs hosted by the Big Ten Academic Alliance. What is unique about these programs is the opportunity to interactive with peers from the Big Ten institutions, and learn more about the similarities and differences in the challenges and opportunities across our campuses. If you have questions about any of these programs, please contact us at the office of the provost otp@uoregon.edu.
Established in 1989, this nationally recognized leadership initiative has produced more than 2,400 alumni. This intensive year-long leadership program provides an orientation for faculty, including those currently appointed as academic administrators, to gain a better understanding of university-level academic administrative leadership and its challenges at a research university.
ALP was created to specifically orient a diverse group of talented emerging leaders with the insights and perspectives needed to navigate the complexities of academic administration at major research universities. The program fosters the development of leaders who can thrive in a variety of academic roles and contribute to the growth and success of their institutions.

If you are interested, please talk to your Dean to be considered for their April nomination.
