This message serves as clarification of the renewal notification process for bargaining-unit, career non-tenure-track faculty (NTTF). Further information on the non-renewal notification process was provided in a January 28, 2016 email.
March 18, 2016
The collective bargaining agreement between the University of Oregon and United Academics (CBA) provides for two pools for merit raises to be implemented in January 2017, one for tenure-track faculty and one for non-tenure-track faculty (Article 26, Section 2). These pools will be distributed according to the processes described in the unit’s merit raise policy. You can find your unit’s merit raise policy on the Academic Affairs website.

This is a reminder that the university-wide deadline for sabbatical leave requests for AY17 is February 29, 2016. You may wish to note that the deadline to submit sabbatical leave requests to Academic Affairs is always the last work day in February. Please distribute this message to your units.

This message serves as a reminder of the following deadlines for providing that notice. To assist you in the hiring process, the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs has posted an offer letter template focused on tenure-related faculty. This template is based on efforts within the College of Arts and Sciences to standardize offer letters. I am grateful to Associate Dean Karen Ford for her assistance in responding to this need in CAS and, by extension, the university. The template responds to most, if not all, variations for making an offer.
August 4, 12015 – The Office of Academic Affairs, in consultation with the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office and Academic Extension, has developed a list of resources to combat academic misconduct in online courses.
