I’m writing to let you know of an exciting project the Office of the Provost is working on that will help streamline faculty review processes and ease the burden of faculty members around information gathering when they come up for review in their units, beginning in 2020.

December 3, 2018 – The sixth-generation Oregonian has experience building and maintaining strong relationships, and will start in the job in August 2019. Until then, Angela Wilhelms remains as interim chief.

What Is Your Big Question?

TEP, the Office of the Provost, and the Division of Undergraduate Studies seek up to 12 faculty fellows to develop—with an eye toward offering in AY19-20—UO’s first core education “runways.” Fellows will receive a $1K stipened.   

Runways (a tentative name) are meant to enhance the intellectual coherence and sense of community of students’ first year at the university by focusing on a big question that runs through several core education and writing courses. 

Leadership announces College of Arts and Sciences task force members

November 20, 2018 – The group – made up of faculty, staff and students – will examine the structure of the college to help determine the most effective way to meet the university’s liberal arts mission.

Improving teaching evaluations is the focus of an upcoming talk

November 20, 2018 – During her visit, Ginger Clark of USC also will address the University Senate on Thursday Nov. 28.
