Dear Academic Colleagues,
I am writing to call your attention to the possibility of HyFlex instruction for the upcoming winter term. HyFlex is a method that allows instructors to combine simultaneous, face-to-face experiences with remote instruction.
The UO is committed to supporting faculty, GEs, and students with flexible modalities of instruction. The Office of the Provost and Information Services partnered to pilot HyFlex teaching with nearly two dozen faculty members this fall. We are indebted to this cohort for their creativity and for sharing their wisdom in helping us to problem-solve how best to make HyFlex more accessible and user-friendly.
We have created a web page that highlights the key components of HyFlex instruction, shares some faculty experiences, and provides faculty and GEs the opportunity to learn more about the modality as well as classroom upgrades and configurations that support this approach to instruction. Please take a look and let us know if we can provide any additional information by sending an email to tep@uoregon.edu.
Sincerely,
Janet Woodruff-Borden
Executive Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
