Christoph Lindner named dean of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts

The University of Oregon is pleased to introduce Christoph Lindner as the new dean of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. He is coming to the UO from the the Netherlands, where he is professor of media and culture at the University of Amsterdam. Lindner will start in Eugene on August 15.

Juan-Carlos Molleda named dean of the School of Journalism and Communication

The University of Oregon is pleased to introduce Juan-Carlos Molleda as the new Edwin L. Artzt Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC). He is coming to the UO from the University of Florida, where he is a professor and chair of the Department of Public Relations. Molleda will start in Eugene on July 1.

David O. Conover appointed Vice President for Research and Innovation

I am pleased to share that David Conover has accepted our offer to join the University of Oregon as vice president for research and innovation. Conover comes to the UO from Stony Brook University, where he served as vice president for research, and his background as a scholar and strong record of successfully attracting and managing funded research made him the clear choice for Oregon.

Information Services Leadership Transition

Yesterday Melissa Woo, vice provost for information services and chief information officer, announced that she would be leaving the University of Oregon to pursue other professional opportunities. Melissa has served in this role since 2012. We wish her the best in her future endeavors and thank her for her dedication and hard work during her time here.
