Additionally, we are honored to introduce Christoph Lindner as the new dean of the School of Architecture and Allied Arts, Juan-Carlos Molleda as the new dean of the School of Journalism and Communication, and David Conover as vice president for research and innovation. A decision is forthcoming in the search for dean of the Lundquist College of Business.

Academic Hiring

This is an exciting time for the University of Oregon. We are embarking on a new era with a new Board of Trustees, a new president, and ambitious goals for fundraising and increasing state support. As we step into the future, we must focus on our vision of pursuing academic excellence in all that we do. This vision will be realized by expanding our faculty and enhancing our capacity for innovation and research.

Strategic Framework

President Schill and I are pleased to share with you the final strategic framework document, simply and appropriately titled, “EXCELLENCE.” This document is the culmination of over a year of work by more than fifty individuals who served on four strategic work groups. The final strategic framework document articulates a vision for the UO and establishes clear priorities and strategies to help realize that vision.

UO in Portland

The University of Oregon has long been part of the fabric of Portland. And while home will always be Eugene, we hold Portland close to our heart.
