The University of Oregon invites internal applications for the vice provost for academic affairs (VPAA). The VPAA resides within the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs (OPAA) and reports to the executive vice provost for academic affairs.
The VPAA's primary focus is on the academic success of UO faculty. This includes, but is not limited to tenure, promotion, faculty performance reviews, post-tenure review, sabbaticals, the academic hiring process, faculty recognition and nomination programs, and faculty-related conflicts and ethics policies. The VPAA will also be responsible for a range of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and for leading a campus-wide effort to re-envision the academic program review process.
