We collaborate with campus partners to offer workshops on topics such as understanding the promotion or tenure process, continued growth and development as an educator, how to produce a strong application for a Williams Instructional Proposal, and more.

Supporting new faculty success
New faculty will be invited to apply for the UO New Faculty Success Program — which will meet monthly on Zoom from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on a Thursday. New faculty will have the opportunity to get to know one another, while also connecting with current UO faculty. In addition, the UO New Faculty Success Program will engage the NCFDD core curriculum webinar series to complement local discussions about best practices for success at the University of Oregon.
Each year in September, prior to the start of fall term, we host a full-day New Faculty Onboarding event. The day includes opportunities to meet campus leaders, engage in sessions that support a strong start in scholarship and teaching, as well as learn some tips for developing a network of mentors. The day is dynamic and ensures new faculty can begin to get to know one another and build their UO network.
