Budget Update June 30, 2009

Colleagues:

The 2009 Legislative Session ended late last night.  The News Release from the Oregon University System describing the results can be found at: www.ous.edu/news_and_information/news/063009.php.  Now that we know the final numbers from the legislature, we have one more step before we can begin to plan concretely for next year.  On July 10 the State Board of Higher Education will meet to allocate funds across campuses and to set tuition for next year.  As stated in the mid-May email, we have delayed all unclassified renewal contracts until the budgets are resolved during the summer.  We hope to begin processing OA and faculty contracts not long after the July Board Meeting.
